Role Description: Medical Affairs Data Analytics Contract Worker
Summary: The Medical Affairs Data Analytics CW will be responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and management of operational activities within US Medical Affairs. This includes process development for datapoint capture, data analysis of medical affairs insights, as well as routing for review, approval, and distribution. Additional responsibilities include assisting in customer engagement plans, stakeholder and vendor project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the collection, analysis, and reporting of medical data, including development of medical insights from data points to inform medical strategy and decision-making
Facilitate the routing of medical affairs insights review/approval activities through internal processes and systems
Process improvement: identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing changes to improve efficiency and quality in medical affairs operations.
Collaborate with Associate Director Medical Operations to support external vendor projects
Assist in the development and execution of customer engagement plans for medical affairs activities, including key opinion leaders, healthcare providers, and patient groups
Support stakeholder management efforts by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and engagement with internal and external stakeholders; support remote customer engagement platforms
Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements and standards for medical affairs activities
Cross-functional collaboration: working closely with other departments, such as IT, legal and regulatory, and commercial operations, etc. to ensure alignment and coordination of activities.
Requirements:
BS or BA in a related field
Prior experience in medical affairs operations or related roles within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry nice to have/not required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analytics and familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP), Veeva CRM, and Power BI (or similar interactive data visualization platforms) preferred.
Strong leadership skills, proven track record of successful project management, and a positive approach in managing staff without direct authority, vendors, and project-related issues.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategy and translate strategy into action, excellent analytical skills, and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.
Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, the ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs, and recommendations.
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, excellent organizational/time management skills and be able to collaborate and align with diverse, cross-functional teams, including the ability to influence non-direct reports
